Verification, Scores & Leaderboards Methodology

Effective date: 21 September 2026

Last updated: 25 September 2026.

This document explains at a high level how Proudli verification, evidence signals, points, scores, badges and leaderboards operate. It is designed to provide meaningful transparency without publishing fraud controls or proprietary weighting in a way that would facilitate manipulation.

1. Principles

Evidence before popularity: verified professional activity should carry more meaning than raw self-promotion.

Context matters: relevance can vary by market, role, service type, project type, geography and recency.

No pay-to-win organic ranking: paid products may add tools or clearly labelled visibility, but do not purchase organic evidence or organic leaderboard position.

Confidence should be visible: Proudli should distinguish evidence quantity from evidence quality or verification strength.

2. Evidence types

Proudli may consider verified Proof Stories, participant confirmations, genuine endorsements, transaction or project data, professional tenure, licence or registration information, public professional information and other lawful evidence. The precise set of evidence available may vary by profession and market.

3. Verification

Verification may occur at several levels: identity; professional identity; organisation or employment; licence or registration; participant role; transaction or project existence; and specific supporting evidence. A verification marker describes only what was checked.

4. Evidence strength

Evidence strength may be affected by the independence of the source, verification level, specificity, recency, consistency with other evidence, diversity of sources and relevance to the relevant professional category or market.

5. Points

Proudli may award points for qualifying professional evidence or verified participation. Point rules may differ by evidence type. Duplicate, invalid, manipulated, reversed or subsequently disqualified evidence may lose points. Proudli may cap repeated activity of the same type to reduce gaming.

6. Profiles and result formats

Proudli does not need to reduce professional reputation to a single score. Profiles may show combinations of proof volume, verification strength, experience patterns, specialisations, network participation, repeat relationships, evidence recency, local-market activity, badges and other signals.

7. Leaderboards

Leaderboards may be defined by geography, profession, transaction type, provider type, period or other relevant market segment. Eligibility may require minimum evidence thresholds. Proudli may exclude users or evidence under integrity review.

8. Recency and decay

Some evidence may become less relevant over time. Proudli may apply recency rules or display time windows so that historical volume does not automatically dominate current professional activity.

9. New professionals and sparse evidence

A low volume of evidence should not automatically be represented as poor quality. Proudli may distinguish insufficient evidence from adverse evidence and may display confidence or evidence-volume indicators.

Subscriptions may provide enhanced analytics, profile tools, widgets or other functionality. Sponsored or promoted placements may be offered separately and clearly identified where necessary so they are not confused with organic results.

11. Integrity adjustments

Where Proudli identifies duplicate, fake, coordinated, improperly incentivised or otherwise ineligible evidence, it may exclude that evidence, reverse associated points and recalculate affected outputs. Fraud-detection signals and exact thresholds may remain confidential.

12. Methodology changes

Proudli may update methodology as the platform develops, including to improve accuracy, fairness, fraud resistance and relevance. Material changes should be reflected in this document. Historical results may change when methodology or underlying evidence changes.

13. Not a guarantee

Verification, scores, badges and leaderboards are evidence tools. They are not a guarantee of future performance, suitability or outcome and should be considered with other information.

14. Errors and review

Material factual errors may be reported at hello@proudli.com.au or www.proudli.com.au/contact. Proudli may request supporting information and may correct underlying data or rerun calculations where appropriate.
