What is a Proof Story?
A Proof Story is a short account of a real transaction, project or professional outcome. The person who created it explains what happened, what they did and what the outcome was. People who were directly involved can then add their own perspective. That might include:
Why have I been invited?
Because you were there. The creator has identified you as someone who had a genuine role in the transaction or project.
Your contribution can help readers understand the result from more than one perspective.
You choose how you contribute
After reading the Proof Story, you can choose to:
Endorse the story
Confirm that the story is a fair account of what happened.
Add your perspective
Share something useful from your own point of view.
Confirm your involvement
Confirm that you were involved without writing a public comment.
Suggest a correction
Let the creator know if something needs clarification or changing.
You are never required to recommend the professional simply because you were involved.
You don't need to write a review
A useful contribution might be as simple as:
Yes, I was the vendor and this fairly reflects the sale.
I arranged the bridging finance for the clients while they prepared their existing home for sale.
The campaign timing was changed so we could complete the styling before launch.
Specific context is often more useful than praise.
What happens to my contribution?
Depending on what you choose, Proudli may show: your name; your professional role; your relationship to the story; your comment; and the fact that you confirmed your involvement. You'll always be shown what will be public before submitting your contribution.
Does endorsing mean I guarantee everything in the story?
No. Your contribution should only reflect what you reasonably know from your own involvement. Proudli is designed to show who supports which parts of a story, rather than pretending every contributor independently verifies every detail.
Are contributors paid?
No. A Proudli contribution is intended to represent a genuine connection to real work. Contributors should disclose their relationship to the story accurately.
